Our “Pet of the Month” for February is a beautiful 14-year-old Tonkinese cat named Puck. The last few months have been a little rough for Puck and his family; he was diagnosed with kidney disease and then diabetes. Pucks kitty “mom” Elizabeth has been great about learning all his treatments at home, including subcutaneous fluid therapy and insulin injections. Recently Puck had a scare and ended up in the emergency hospital for hypoglycemia in the middle of the night. Thankfully he knew enough to climb up on the bed to alert his mom in time that he wasn’t feeling well! Though he probably doesn’t always love when he has to stay in hospital with us, Puck is more then happy to enjoy a little cuddling and love from our staff. Congratulations to Puck for being ACTRI’s Pet of the Month!
